Meet Reggie!

Reggie

A mini labradoodle (grandma was a lab grandpa a toy poodle, mom is a 15 lb. labradoodle & dad is a 6 lb.toy poodle), we will wait to see how big he gets.

How could you not fall in love with this little guy?

The little girls think he is a baby doll; they carry him around everywhere, brush him, and put toys in his mouth (like it or not) & they call him "wedgie" (like the underwear thing) . He is such a good sport to put up with it all, I think he is a keeper. He is 12-weeks old, currently 5 pounds, he sleeps through the night (from 10-7) and has not had an accident since the third day we had him.

And if you ever wonder where he is at any given moment, just look at my feet and I'm sure he will be there!

Heading Home

Day 3: The final day of our quick little adventure, but none less exciting than the rest!

We stayed in Air Force trailers parked at Flagg Ranch just outside the South entrance of Yellowstone. On Wednesday when we left we made a detour to Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park, as you can see it is beautiful country!

The moment the kids have been waiting for is finally here! We picked up our V.I.P. (very important passenger) in Pocatello. Everyone instantly fell in love with our newest member of the family.

The night before we got him we were in Yellowstone playing cards and discussing what to name him (His name was Stewart Little before we got him), we were considering Jedi or Reggie. I asked Derrick what name he liked the best, he said "I don't know" Macall turned to me with an absolute serious face and said "Dad thinks we should name him I don't know." Our little 4-year old was cracking a sarcastic joke, and we all thought it was totally funny!

3 CRAZY Days!

Day 1: Let's Go!

Monday, Sept. 8 we skipped school & headed to Yellowstone for 3 days. Monday was our travel day, but along the way we stopped at Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve. Craters of the Moon got it's name because a geologist said it like "the surface if the moon as seen through a telescope." The interesting landscape was formed from volcanic activity thousands of years ago.

This is the view from the top of the largest cinder cone, pretty barren. It was a great diversion from our travels and a great pit stop for lunch and a small hike to stretch our legs.

Macall Turns 4!

10:00 pm is not the best time to start making a birthday cake...at least not if you are like me and get into your projects. I got to bed at 2 am, but I had fun and the cake was pretty yummy!

Too Much Miracle Gro or Too Little Tending?

The only part of my garden that has done well this year is my CRAZY zucchini plant. It is so huge I loose the zucchini in it until all of the sudden they are ridiculously huge! In fact it sometimes hides a cucumber until it is giant too! I clearly am lacking a green thumb, as illustrated by my pathetic tomato plant! Thank heaven for the grocery store or we would be forced to survive on zucchini alone!

First Day of School

8/25/08

Maddy starting 4th grade & Preston starting 2nd. The first day of school is happy all around! The kids insisted on riding bikes the first day so I drove to the school with all their supplies. When I got there Preston was soaking wet. The school had their sprinklers on and he rode right through them. Way to go Preston, good thing the office was prepared with dry shirt to borrow.
